At Philly Game Shop, we believe that tabletop gaming is for everyone. We celebrate our beautifully diverse geek community here in Philadelphia. Our mission as your friendly local game shop is to foster greater inclusivity, friendship, & an unplugged social experience in the traditional tabletop gaming shop space. Our house rules are:
Kindness We ask that everyone treat others with kindness and dignity at all times.
Inclusiveness We will not allow discrimination on the bases of race, color, religion, age, national identity, disability, orientation, gender, or gender expression at the Philly Game Shop - period. The Philly Game Shop is a safe space.
Accessibility We will strive to ensure everyone can equally access our shop and events, make every effort to accommodate accessibility needs, and ask that all our customers support us in this. We will maintain open aisles, a threshold ramp, and an accessible restroom. We will do our best to be aware and respectful of neurodiversity in our community. We will strive to make space and hold space for all gamers at PGS.
Consent We ask that everyone please respect others’ rights to engage at the level they are comfortable with, express a need for personal boundaries, and/or say no to a game or a player for any personal reason.
Community Safety We are a community space which means we prioritize a safe and family friendly environment at all times at PGS. Please do not bring weapons or firearms into our community space; please do not come to our community space visibly intoxicated; please do not engage in threatening or dangerous behavior; please do not cheat or fight at our tables; and please be generally mindful in your words and actions. There are young folks in our community that are looking to all of us for a good example and a safe community to grow up in.
Shop Policies
Returns & Exchanges We accept unopened items with a receipt for exchange or refund at our Shop. Unfortunately, we do not accept any opened or used merchandise for return. We can only process returns in-store.
Orders & Pre-Orders Looking for an upcoming game or a game we don’t currently stock? We will do our best to find it for you: just e-mail! Please don’t place and cancel pre-orders with your local mom and pop shop: we still have to pay for your items even if you don’t.
Resale & Trade Ins? We do not purchase any used or second hand market games. We do not purchase trading cards for cash. We do limited trade-ins for store credit only for Magic: the Gathering.
Respect Your Local Game Store Please do not advertise or solicit in our store or Discord without permission. Please do not sell items in our store or on our store Discord.
